Welcome to Watch Hill Yacht Services
We sail and motor about nine months a year on Block Island, Fisher's Island and Long Island Sounds. Our lineage goes back five generations on the same location on the Pawcatuck River, including the past three generations as a full service boat yard and marina facility. We know these "waters" well and we know what types of boats will provide you with the enjoyment you deserve - whether you are sailing by the shoals off the Connecticut River, boating in the swift currents of Fisher's Island Sound or anchoring in the quietude of Narragansett Bay.
Unlike many other yacht brokers, we rely almost exclusively upon a local network of veteran sailors, area yacht clubs and boatyard operators to keep us abreast of the inventory of sailing craft and powerboats that are available in Rhode Island and southeastern Connecticut. We can turn on the Internet as well as any other broker. But it is the "local knowledge" from our trusted network that enables us to uncover that special craft that is perfect for you.
We are also the exclusive manufacturers and dealers of the Watch Hill 15, a 24'6" open cockpit sloop that is raced by the Watch Hill Yacht Club.
We would enjoy working with you as either a buyer or seller and we thank you for stopping by and "rafting-up".

"Loon" is a lovely example of this highly sought after Ted Hood design. She has been maintained to the highest standards and has been consistently upgraded over the course of her life - most recently with a new Halsey Main and 135% Genoa in 2011, upgraded rigging, new dodger in 2010 (cleaned and restiched 2013), new LED cabin lights and much more. "Loon" has been stored inside a heated building during the winter 2012/2013. During this time, many upgrades to the electrical and mechanical systems have been completed including new Xantrex inverter / charger with remote panel, new Balmar Max Charge alternator/regulator, new thru hulls and more. In addition, the annual maintenance including fresh bottom paint, engine service, hull washed/waxed and exterior and interior varnish has been completed. She is ready to go for the season! "Loon" offers the famed Hood keel centerboard/shoal draft hull configuration which offers shoal draft sailing, uncommon upwind sailing abilities in a boat that is both practical and comfortable with genuine off-shore characteristics not found in most boats her size. She will be in the water and commissioned for the season in early April. Please click on FULL SPECS for additional information and photographs. There is NO SALES TAX if purchased and kept in the state of Rhode Island. A mooring is available for a buyer interested in keeping her on the Pawcatuck River in Westerly, Rhode Island. Please inquire.
