Welcome to Watch Hill Yacht Services
We sail and motor about nine months a year on Block Island, Fisher's Island and Long Island Sounds. Our lineage goes back five generations on the same location on the Pawcatuck River, including the past three generations as a full service boat yard and marina facility. We know these "waters" well and we know what types of boats will provide you with the enjoyment you deserve - whether you are sailing by the shoals off the Connecticut River, boating in the swift currents of Fisher's Island Sound or anchoring in the quietude of Narragansett Bay.
Unlike many other yacht brokers, we rely almost exclusively upon a local network of veteran sailors, area yacht clubs and boatyard operators to keep us abreast of the inventory of sailing craft and powerboats that are available in Rhode Island and southeastern Connecticut. We can turn on the Internet as well as any other broker. But it is the "local knowledge" from our trusted network that enables us to uncover that special craft that is perfect for you.
We are also the exclusive manufacturers and dealers of the Watch Hill 15, a 24'6" open cockpit sloop that is raced by the Watch Hill Yacht Club.
We would enjoy working with you as either a buyer or seller and we thank you for stopping by and "rafting-up".

36' Cape Dory 36 Cutter
DOLPHIN is a beautiful late model (hull 150 of 165) Cape Dory 36 Cutter. She offers the design improvements which are now the Robinhood 36's - the traditional style "T" shaped cockpit, the bulkhead table, "L" shaped settee to port and the larger head area. She has been professionally maintained in excellent condition and has been constantly upgraded by her current owners of 14 years.
Despite the emphasis on ocean cruising capabilities assuring her ability to stand up in a blow, beat to windward or track effortlessly on long downwind runs, the Cape Dory 36 is not intended solely as a long distance, passage making yacht. While powerfully built and heavily rigged for off shore work, she was designed to be equally well suited for the gentle breezes of an afternoon sail or a weekend cruise. The cutter rig with ample sheet and halyard winches and reefing gear make her easy to sail single or short handed. Husband and wife crews will particularly appreciate the double headsail rig which offers a variety of sail changing and shortening options.
DOLPHIN has received the best of care and it shows. She is available to be seen at your convenience. She has a brand new custom canvas Fairclough Cover with zipper door and vents (essentially like storing her inside) so she is easily seen.
We also have a slip available in Westerly, Rhode Island on the Pawcatuck River for an owner wishing to keep her in this area. Please note that there is no sales tax if purchased and kept in the state of Rhode Island.
